Dr Michael Mosley has shared four foods that will help improve sleep and help with weight loss. According to the founder of the 5:2 diet, the better you sleep, the more likely you are you make healthier choices the next day.
He wrote: "While your quality of sleep evidently has an impact on what you eat, the same applies vice versa. Both the food we eat and our eating habits can influence our sleep patterns and behaviours."Dr Mosley then highlighted the foods that are likely to help you sleep better, including oily fish, nuts, seeds and green vegetables, the Mirror reports.
Speaking about green vegetables, Dr Mosley said these help with the production of melatonin. This naturally occurs in veg like broccoli, asparagus and cucumber. Citing a 2019 study, Dr Mosley revealed those who follow the Mediterranean diet, where these foods are recommended, get better sleep.
