The remedy was cheap medical insurance with no exclusions for pre-existing conditions. It was called ACA or Obama Care which you and your party sabotaged thru lack of exchanges & subsidies in order to keep prices high.
Meaningful, affordable healthcare and reasonable charges would probably do it.
