oh it made it to the west coast

There is a big difference from a drug seeker and a person with legitimate acute chronic pain.

get CBD

Not to mention the opioids coming across the border

There are those of us who can use these and not become addicted. I came home from surgery on 12/19 with 30 percocet. I used less than half of them. Ibuprofen and Tylenol weren't going to cut it.

Already does! The legitimate folks are put through the paces with doctors for RX then again at pharmacy for say a dental emergency or injury which a one week pain relief is needed. It seems backwards when you have no history but sudden onset need for a limited timeline.

I incurred a knee replacement. My CA orthopedic surgeon would not prescribe enough pain medication to alleviate my pain. I cried for 2 months; ended up changing physicians. The entire process was inhumane.

Marijuana works better

Ahhh, capitalism at its finest. This crap is legal, and being pushed off on US citizens and Purdue makes a crapload of money, but yet they will throw your ass in jail for a little cannabis (in backwater States that have not evolved yet...) Hmm, land of the free...

Most folks don’t understand how opiates work on the brain and how tolerance makes the effect diminish over time. There’s no such thing as long term stable pain relief using an opiate. Having directed many medical clinics and being a former substance abuse counselor, I’ve seen it

Soma

Long acting opioids do have a higher risk of death than similar shorter acting medicines. But. When are they going to start writing letters about the patients who are denied treatment for pain and are then driven to suicide by long term life with pain?

Forced tapers of patients who had stable pain control for years is causing suicides. The swinging pendulum is costing lives and it’s irresponsible.

Been saying this for several years now. Those of us with legit pain needs sans addiction have a REALLY hard time getting pain relief at all, let alone proper dosing. There is no middle ground. Today ur either a drug seeker or you need no pain meds at all. It's crazy.

Opiods are no better than placebo effect for chronic pain.

Pshaw

When pharmacy companies & doctors collude or neglect their patients, there is a backlash for accountability. Now doctors claim it will hinder legitimate treatment? You were trained in medical school to know the difference. Stand up for what is true and right.

This is a fair concern. I had to have my foot surgically reconstructed several years ago- big procedure, lots of screws, pins, staples. My surgeon was so concerned about being audited for overprescribing that he only prescribed me 2 days of post-op pain medication. It was agony.

Never fails the criminals make life difficult for the law abiders to live and be comfortable! if not directly, indirectly because those enforcing the laws know the only people who follow the laws don't break it! STUPID LOGIC!

My dentist said I can you one day prescription of pain pills.
