I believe in public healthcare. I believe quality of treatment should not be influenced by a patient’s race, gender, sexual orientation or their wealth. It shouldn’t be based on anything other than need.
My previous job offered private health insurance that was mostly paid for by my employer. I didn’t take it. It seems idealistic – it probably is idealistic – but I had put my faith in public healthcare.
