“The jails will have an alternative. People can come here, and they can get the care that they need right away,” Leslie said. “Ambulances will be able to just pull right up, drop folks off, and go on about their business. So this is going to be a game changer for our community.”The center has 10 observation beds where patients can spend up to 23 hours and 16 beds where patients can stay for up to seven days. All of the rooms are comfortable and safe.
“It’s helped us to have a smaller facility to help us kind of work out the kinks, so now we know what we’re doing, and we’re just gonna jump right in,” Leslie said.
