Is it dangerous to take a bath after being exposed to the scorching heat outdoors? A health expert said no. ManilaBulletin

Public health expert Dr. Anthony “Tony” Leachon on Thursday, March 30, said taking a bath after sun exposure may help lower and cool down one’s body temperature.

“Walang katotohanan [na masamang maligo kapag na-expose sa init]. In fact, kapag mainit nga ay dapat pababain ang temperature natin ,” said Leachon in an interview on CNN Philippines. This was after an erroneous advisory went viral on social media, claiming that it is dangerous to drink cold water or take a bath after being exposed to extreme heat.Apart from taking a bath, Leachon also advised Filipinos to drink enough water, change into comfortable clothes, and use sun and heat protection.related stories
