Mayor Eric Olivarez advised residents to visit the seven animal bite treatment centers and OsPar-1 for their vaccination once they get bitten by dogs and cats, including mere scratches, following the reported increase of rabies cases in the city.
Olivarez said the animal bite treatment centers are located in the following barangay health centers -- La Huerta Center with schedule every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.; San Isidro Health Center every Tuesday and Friday from 1:00 p.m.- 3:00 p.m.; BF Homes Health Center every Monday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon and Sun Valley Health Center every Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 9:00 a.m.-12 noon.
He said the other animal bite treatment centers are located in San Martin de Porres Health Center every Monday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.; Don Bosco Health Center every Monday and Thursday from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.; San Antonio Health Center every Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 noon and also in the afternoon at 1:00p.m. to 2:00 p.m., and at OsPar-1 located along Baragay La Huerta which accepts patients of animal bites from Tuesday to Friday from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
