Health Canada is out with a warning about a pair of unauthorized children’s syrups that could pose serious health risks.

The products ‘Robikids’ and ‘Solmux’ have not been approved by officials in Canada. They were seized from a business called ‘Kamshoppe’ which had been advertising them on Facebook. They contain carbocisteine, a prescription drug that can cause nausea, diarrhea, gastrointestinal bleeding and allergic reactions, like anaphylaxis, in certain instances.

They are labelled as ‘Robikids Carbosisteine Mucolytic’ and ‘Solmux Carbocysteine Mucolytic Pediatric Syrup,’ and come in 120-millilitre bottles.For more information,
