Greater gender equality can help both men and women live longer, a new study finds

"As we've seen from the recent resignations of high-profile female politicians, women still experience significant challenges in this field, including discrimination, balancing private, family and political life, gaining support from political parties, and securing campaign funding," Pinho-Gomes says.

They also say it's possible that the associations they observed between gender equality and life expectancy could be explained by other factors, like socioeconomic development and sociocultural norms. That said, they believe their findings could help policymakers worldwide set priorities in public health and other areas. And the issue has taken on a new urgency: The WEF estimates that the time it will take to close the global gender gap increased by an entire generation — from 99.5 years to 135.6 years — as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, which, in the words of the researchers, had"a

And yet leftists continue to try and ruin women’s sports by allowing men to compete as women. So strange 🙄

Equality of the two sexes. How in the world can there be 'gender equality,' when some say there are 73 genders?

Essentially, ditch religion and you'll live longer.

If men can become women and women can become men what difference does it make

As cynical as I can be about things like this; I support global research because it shows how COLLECTIVELY; we are doing it wrong ALL across CONTINENTS. Women,(the ones that bare/bore societies children) (that most of you don’t deserve) can’t do it alone. As much as you try.

They found those findings where? I mean how many countries have been pushing for gender equality? NPR is just finding random crap to fit their narrative and posting it.

Of course, let's get women into the more dangerous professions in order to lift the floor on life expectancy for men.

Face it…we’re all doomed

People often thinks gender equality benefits women. But gender equality is really for all. As society treats both equally more and more, we all can benefit from it.

Not surprising. Countries that take care of electricity and infrastructure and clean water etc raise life expectancy then eventually get around to social issues like this

Looks like another leftist advocacy group sent NPR a press release for them to 'report' as news.

Gender equality: Good. Gender equity: Not possible.

It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.
