The recent kidnapping of four Americans in Mexico highlights a common practice for many people in the U.S.: traveling to other countries for medical care that either is not available at home or costs a lot less. Here's a look at how and why they do it.

— during a trip to Mexico that one relative said was for cosmetic surgery.

This travel is popular with people who have no health insurance or plans that make them pay thousands of dollars before coverage begins.Big employers also sometimes send people covered by their insurance to other countries for hip or knee replacements or bariatric surgery. Some also send people to Mexico for expensive prescription drugs.

And cosmetic surgeries, like tummy tucks that cost thousands of dollars, are largely uncovered by U.S. health insurers. Most of the people visiting Mexico for care are Mexican or Latino immigrants living in the United States, he said.

The Associated Press knows that Every American has access to insurance and subsidies. In order to create hyper inflation and purchase votes, the World is pushing for Americans to insure the World's Population. If you control Healthcare, you control Ppl. What Stalin said.

It was a tummy tuck bro LOL purely cosmetic procedure LOL!!!!

*elective unnecessary medical care

Something’s are banned and shouldn’t be covered for a reason yet if it’s life threatening or after something life threatening it should be done we need old doctors back and younger ones much more

People from Canada travel for dental work, which isn’t covered by our universal healthcare, or to skip the queue for medical tests like MRI

An ass lift is NOT medical care.

And now some American women will choose to travel to Mexico for abortion care because the state of Texas has turned into Gilead.

Many of those going to Mexico for medical/dental care are the AFFLUENT.

cosmetic surgery isn't 'medical care'. it's an elective procedure that is not required at all to live.

Not seeing cash payment risks mentioned. Do these folks pay in cash?

If they went for a tummy tuck, the least expensive way is to eat less and exercise.

When vanity costs you and yours your life

Tummy tucks are medical care? The overall point is true but we could use a better example

Kidnapped Americans in Mexico put spotlight on 'medical tourism'The kidnapping of four U.S. citizens who traveled to Mexico last week is putting the spotlight on 'medical tourism,' or when people travel to other countries to receive medical care or buy prescription drugs, often at lower prices. It should be the spotlight for the fact that the Cartels are operating in EVERY major American city. Your CYA reporting for the Biden Admin Open Borders caused you to miss the point again, CBS That’s not the issue the issue is Biden’s policies This evolved from the drug war, a civil war over the constitutional right to liberty, to acquire and possess property secured against unreasonable deprivation. A judiciary treating the Drug War as a political question. Drugs are not a fundamental right, political police power.

Kidnapping of Americans in Mexico puts spotlight on 'medical tourism'In countries such as Mexico, Costa Rica or Thailand, the cost of a facelift or dental implant can be half as much as in the U.S. . Who has 3 (!) people accompany them to Mexico (driving 18+ hours or whatever it is) to get a tummy tuck when you’re still ridiculously overweight? I think there’s more to this story. Just sounds a little sus 🤔🤔

Four Americans kidnapped in Mexico: What we knowFour Americans were traveling to Mexico for a medical procedure when their van was ambushed by suspected members of a Mexican cartel, with the Americans being kidnapped. The Mexican cartels are racist and waging war on blacks. If they're Democrats it's disrespectful to call them Americans. What we know is you should not go there for a tummy tuck.
