More than 600,000 people are released from state and federal prisons every year in the U.S. and the majority have health conditions. But many are often released with no medications, medical records, or health insurance.

I worked 30 years for a major hospital in SW Missouri. I retired to no insurance and 300.00 a month retirement. I’m not feeling sorry for released prison inmates.

And the moral of this story is don’t commit crimes?

Lots of people who followed the rules and aren't convicts have the same problem

There should be a plan in place to transition the released prisoners back into society.
