The FDA is reviewing how Akorn's closure will impact the nationwide supply of all the pharmaceuticals they were producing.Supply chain issues have dogged health care systems throughout the pandemic, including for some of the most commonly used medications. The FDA could clarify if a new supplier could purchase the technology from Akorn or needs to submit an abbreviated new drug application — a process that could take months.
ADHD med shortage too. National crisis. ADHD meds are heavily regulated and harder to get filled making it a nightmare for millions of doctors offices and parents. I’m dealing with this nightmare and it is reprehensible that billion dollar pharmas can just cut off med supplies.

US_FDA I'll buy Akorn. asthmatics need Albuterol. it's helped me a lot when I really need it, and should be available for everyone. not all pharmaceutical drugs are bad, and I know many of them save more lives than they harm. Albuterol is one.
Please research asthma and parasites to discover a permanent cure. I did!

Cue all the anti-government types who will now…….wait for it……DEMAND the government do something to supply this med for their little darlings.
If a manufacturer ceases to produce a vital drug and there are no other competitors to produce it, the govt should produce it.
