States and territories have agreed to consider banning engineered stone to prevent more stonemasons from contracting deadly silicosis.

Sky News reporter Danica De Giorgio said the original recommendation was to consider a ban by July next year, but it could be fast-tracked following a meeting of workplace health and safety ministers.

“Unions say if a ban is not fast-tracked then they will be forced to take industrial action,” she said.

So PPE is no longer a thing?

so, the 'catastrophic climate change', farting cows causing global warming and 'pandemic' of an ordinary flu are not enough?

Pretty sure there are many trades that use safety equipment for hazardous jobs so what’s the real agenda? Unions wanting to control the supply with alternative products - deals done already?

Australia has no answer but one! Ban it! But looking at the full page there are many professions lacking safety. Fibre glass,Grass cutting,(ultra fine particles) brake dust, many more, will they ban tunnelling? because obviously safe work NSW is inept or perhaps corrupt.
