The next day, the nurses of 4 North B called Tobin into their office. They had heard what Raya had said, and they had a plan. “I was sitting by the bed crying for three days prior,” said Tobin, “and then I was shopping for wedding bands.” The couple had dreamed of a Disney wedding, and after a nurse posted on social media asking for help to give the couple a dream wedding at the Health Sciences Centre, the community came together. On hand were some Disney characters. - Trevor TobinTobin and Howell’s love story starts in 1982. On March 25, Howell was born at the now-closed Captain William Jackman Memorial Hospital in Labrador City.Twenty-five years later, they started dating.

They were married in her parents’ living room, with her father in a hospital bed. Hours later, he died.“It was the fastest phone call I think I’ve ever made in my life,” she said.Witnessing the love and support shown by everyone who came together for the newlyweds was overwhelming, she said.
