We have a doctor running this province and that has done nothing but make our Health Care system worse. The former Health Minister was a doctor and he drove everything into the ground. Furry is only there for his own interests he certainly doesn’t care about NL.

It may be a band-aid solution for ER’s / acute care visits, but we still need consistency and reliability in primary care providers for chronic disease management & followup. The encouragement of migration will disrupt rapport and potentially increase gaps.

No. Until we acquire new doctors either from Canada or abroad the situation will only get worse. And,if we don't keep our nurses and look after them the situation will get worse a lot quicker.

Nope

Hopefully!!

It would make it much easier to get locums to work here. Not a permanent solution, but it would help. I’m not sure why there isn’t a national license, really.

No doctors are coming to Atlantic Canada when you got 4 premiers that are Justin’s puppets . No support for politicians that are in the job for greed and power not the people. Go ahead ale a photo with Justin and brag about on the news for weeks when families are starving

Let's just say, I highly doubt it, lol.

makes it a lot easier for NL physicians to leave. There’s also more to the health care troubles than the number of doctors and nurses.

No

No

Makes you wonder what provinces did with all the money given out to help during the Pandemic? Certainly didn't help having Fitzgerald and other 'experts' go on tv paid to frighten people Lots of professionals moved out west or outside Canada for a better future.

Not really, just because a licence to practice here may be easier isn't a reason to STAY here. This is a bandaid on a wound that isn't healing If we think this somehow fixes anything, then its another example of 'the government you elect is the government you deserve'

No, it will spread the current staff even thinner and create more avenues for people with nefarious intent to infect the already crippled system.

At this point the Liberals can promise the world, ignoring the problem areas like Whitbourne Emergency Department, will cost them the election. FureyAndrew GambinWalsh

No lol furey would screw up a 2 car parade.

Ive talked to people meeting with physicians online. They won’t order bloodwork, they won’t renew prescriptions and they just keep saying to follow the past physician’s instructions! How does that help. This person has a mechanical heart valve. We need a tourniquet not bandaid.

Does Fureys' 'band-aid solution' involve NLs' recent promise to introduce thousands of Ontario/Quebec migrants into an already NL overburdened health system? The sheer liberal arrogance and lack of accountability is simply astounding!

Not in NL it wont!

No, Andy is just too focused on looking good and having his photo taken. He's all talk and STILL hasn't done anything.

No.

No . and he knows it but is still pushing an agenda that he is paid to push at the cost of peoples lives in this province.

Not at all!

Should be a positive step. Many more to take, but one at a time. Now we need more recruits brought in and we need more of our youth to become doctors and nurses, and then to be adequately incentivized to work/stay here. It is very competitive - they are wanted/needed everywhere.

Yes. It can't hurt.

If all provinces have shortages how is this helping?

All provinces can’t get workers, so what help is it? Maybe helos Furey when next vote happens and he’s out, then he can practice elsewhere.

NO WAY!!!!!!Ok you got the licence but YOU DON’T HAVE THE DOCTOR’S to give the Licence TO there a shortage wow common sense here government it sounds good on paper but when we have a shortage of Staff in our health care you can have all the licenses you want if we don’t have DR’S

It may increase the number of locums in rural NL so that would be positive. Why did it take this long to address this?

F*ck no...
