The Garda Representative Association has condemned an attack on a member of the force in Dublin on Monday.Gardaí said a number of patrol vehicles also received"significant damage."GRA President Brendan O'Connor has said a special taskforce to deal with the issue of violence against G ardaí needs to be formed.
"Yet again unfortunately we saw another incident yesterday where one of colleagues was injured and hospitalised, going to the aid of a member of the public who was in danger," he said."[It's] another disturbing incident which laid bare the dangers that our members are exposed to. Gardai should form a riot squad who without fear or favour just attend these awful scenes and beat the crap out of them.
Our country is going down a bad direction
Saw a post about the gardai seizing a car from an L driver who was practicing reversing round a corner in their own housing estate. The gardai are on a power trip over petty crimes but cant cope with real issues! Locals deal with these scrotes daily & reporting does nothing.

This is indeed disturbing, but can it also be pointed out that communities have to put up with this scum regularly and get no protection from Gardai. The courts recently released a man guilty of pouring boiling water on a woman over a drug dispute. The system protects this vermin
It seems our model of policing is no longer fit for purpose. Criminality and lawlessness are the order of the day
Respect for Gardai is now at an all time low. Its hard to know how to change this! But sentences to fit the crime would be a start.
When gardai police people wearing masks and journeying over 5km whilst spinning around in rainbow cars doing the Jerusalema challenge, it should hardly be any great surprise that they don't elicit respect from the community. Cop on GardaTraffic (pun intended)

The gardaí have acted as personal police for the government under drew Harris over the last 3 years, People no longer respect them they are seen are traitors. Enforcing lockdowns while turning a blind eye to blm, mosques and migrants being flown in and bused around the country
