A third person has been declared cured of HIV after receiving a blood stem cell transplant to treat his leukaemia

And all of the procedures and medications involved in the transplant just quadrupled in cost. It's not funny, it's criminal how that works.

Selute to the scientists ! for giving rebirth to the patient's. Science has many solutions to explore.

Wasn't there a fifht just a couple days ago? Why we're back on three? Are you lying?

How long have been sitting on the cure. Money hungry politicians an big pharma

This is the question that nobody is asking? Do we continue as we are, with people controlling infection using drugs so they have no infection risk or, do we cure them using stem cells, with the ‘same’ equivalent outcome?

👏Success

Sadly, this is just likely a taste of what we could’ve done ten years ago with stem cells if Bush and the Anti-Choice machine hadn’t clamped down on the funding for stem cell research back in 2001.

Rachael709663 Wow

Incredible. Exciting developments.

The big Pharma companies mustn’t be making any money on HIV treatment anymore , so they’ve allowed the “cure” to be released.

Can they cure aids by itselfor only if they have leukemia?

How applicable is this really to use as a treatment? I mean we can’t just destroy someone’s immune system to create a space for the transplanted cells.

The colored green are gas bubbles from the e-microscopy preparation process. HIV does not exist nor any other virus and we can prove this with control experiments, all you call virus is cellular trash from killing monkey kidney cells with toxic antibiotics and eroded by Tripsin

lateafternoon_k dbdugger So how the fuck does this work? Are these only in cases of people who got early treatment or only in cases of people so ravaged by other diseases HIV can't keep up

From what I’ve been reading they won’t allow it in America. Big Pharm? IDK but the results have been quite amazing!

This is an amazing development. Would be fantastic to see if the outcome can be replicated in more and more people.

Science is so cool.

I can’t read the article, it’s not coming up. So what happened to the Leukaemia ? Did you cure that ? Amazing how we cure a disease that people get through their promiscuous and reckless behavior, yet no cure for Leukaemia which people get though no fault of theirs.

Hell yeah!! Let the age of medicine curing all sickness begin!

Needs studies .

Amazing science that we can effectively cure HIV now. Too bad it'll never become mainstream. I think it has less to do with bone marrow transplants being risky, as the article claims, and more about big pharma wanting life time customers as opposed to one time cures

Did it treat it?, Or does it replicate cells to be renewed, so the virus can continue killing it off, and it just repeats itself over and over?

You’re confusing testing positive for HIV with being diagnosed with AIDS.

If it takes 10 years for HIV to have a dangerous effect, then it seems that it would be very hard to measure if someone had been cured of it or not. How is this news? How many people have been cured per year on average before that?

blessing in disguise?

👏🙏

nice progress

the team was able to stop giving him immunosuppressing drugs to prevent rejection of the donor cells and, in November 2018, antiretroviral treatment was halted

Imagine believing THAT, but most of all believing HIV is a virus 🤦🤡🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

FRSTsuki

Lets see if you chaps can add to these studies 👇

Fake virus HIV, just like Covid, goes away with Pharma cure like vaccine. Sounds great! I love science!!!

😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

A 53-year-old man in Düsseldorf, Germany, has been declared cured of HIV by doctors after a blood stem cell transplant to treat leukaemia

Ouuch

Stem cells are the answer to a lot of diseases, cancer, and anything that is limiting the body. Remember Christopher Reeves, he could have been healed in 1995 if it would have been legal back then.

You can't be cured of something that doesn't have any proof of existing. Cured of AIDS / leukocytopenia?

And suddenly before covid trials they found remedy for hiv
