An independent investigation into allegations of leadership abuses at Trillium Health Partners lays out a series of recommendations for how administrators can improve its workplace. But the report did not find any harm to patient care and was unable to substantiate some serious claims made against the large hospital system.
THP has strongly disputed claims against its leadership and has repeatedly said it welcomed the independent investigation.but the province had not yet made the report public, though it is required to do so according to provincial law.In an email to the Star, a spokesperson for Health Minister Sylvia Jones said the ministry has received the report and after review remains “confident in THP and its leadership as they continue to deliver high-quality care.
In his lengthy report, Turnbull noted that “almost all” members of the anonymous group of physicians and the 25 other physicians who came forward during the review insisted on anonymity throughout the investigation. Turnbull noted in the report the successes of THP over the last decade and encouraged the organization “to further promote its leadership and governance strategies.”
They never ever find managers at fault. And if they do, it's not made public. The only reason patient care wasn't effected is u have regulated health professions that take their standards seriously. We all know a healthcare worker can never speak out.
