Head coach Slaven Bilic was at Kings Langley FC on Tuesday to watch the likes of Wesley Hoedt, Tom Cleverley and Britt Assombalonga increase their match fitness.an exclusive interview with the Watford Observer“You see straight away that he’s a player who has played for big clubs in big leagues. He knows what he’s doing and has played in big games,” said Bilic.“He has a great left foot, has a lot of experience and he’s quite comfortable in any situation.
“He’s a player who likes to defend. Everything else is a bonus, he sees defending as his priority. He knows what his job is, that’s the way I like it and the way it should be.” That leaves a gap as each club can name 25 players – Bilic said the club did try to bring more players in, but didn’t suggest they were still looking at the free agent market.
“But then he got injured, not just injured but badly injured. We knew pretty much straight away that he would be out for the season.”
