After more or less pulling together during the pandemic and opioid overdose emergencies, B.C. Liberals have been trying to differentiate themselves from the NDP since the 2020 election.
“I’ve got my real concerns about harm reduction. But I’ve always said I’m open to having that part of a spectrum of services, as long as we’re basing it on transparent and measurable outcomes.” After a long preamble, he asked Mental Health and Addictions Minister Jennifer Whiteside if the NDP supports involuntary treatment for people at risk.
Oddly enough, there was once a glimmer of agreement between the parties on secure, or involuntary, care for juveniles in the throes of addiction crises.
Feigning they have a heart to ingratiate voters. Don’t ever forget or forgive how these shits brought our province to its knees during 16 years in power by taking away any kind of social service they could.
Nobody cares what the BC Libs do…you corrupt SOBs can just sit out the next 25 years ✌️
Attempts at getting street people into addiction treatment will continue to fail so long as we remain permissive of their dangerous and antisocial behaviours on our streets.
