Once a funding deal is done, one hopes, jurisdictional squabbles can’t be an easy excuse or a distraction

pandemic in 2020 and 2021, he insisted that it was more appropriate to talk about emergency funding than a longer-term arrangement. In the 2021 election campaign, he promised roughly $22-billion over five years in additional health care funding .

Mr. Trudeau wants some of the money to do deals to fund specific areas such as mental health or long-term care, negotiated with individual provinces, and for the provinces to ascribe to certain general goals and agree to publish more data on outcomes. That has shifted. Premiers are suggesting they would accept light conditions, as long as they are phrased their way. Even Mr. Legault said he would accept bilateral funding deals for specific health care priorities, as long as they are Quebec’s priorities. You Know Trudeau and the Liberals have got nothing good or needed done . TrudeauMustGo

Tell it to the premiers who squandered 25% of the health care transfers they got from the government.

Agree, a government that is totally unaccountable on so many levels is playing games with premiers. Every day they screw around, more people die.

We allowed extremists like Justin to destroy our nation. Election produces evils a lot more than we expect.

If our healthcare system is really working, people will be healthier and healthier, the market for painkillers will shrink smaller and smaller, there will be less and less illness, and fewer and fewer people need the hospitals and clinics.

Trudeau has been PM for 7 years, you mean the system isn’t fixed yet? 😂

Trudeau doesn’t ‘do’ things. He likes to signal

Where do the feds get this $$ ? It comes from the same people that also pay provincial taxes, and this bonus federal tax $ just encourages the provinces to be less efficient on health spending.

The feds only know how to talk not do

Will never happen. How about this ?

Money wont fix it, way too much bureaucracy. More promises of money without measurable KPI's and timelines wont result in change. You can't keep doing the same thing hoping it will change.

This is what is at stake…

Is fordnation listening?

Trudeau is incapable of fixing anything

And most important make the provinces accountable for every federal cent they get. Albertans seldom see where fed dollars go, just the whining. That has to stop.
