New Zealand Prime Minister Chris Hipkins says he takes on the role of PM at a “challenging time” for the country amid economic struggles.

“I take on this job at a challenging time for New Zealanders, COVID-19 and the global pandemic created a health crisis and now it’s created an economic one and that’s where my governments focus will be,” Mr Hipkins said during a media conference on Sunday.

“Our economic management however has left us with record low unemployment, comparatively low levels of government debt and we’re projecting a return to surplus faster than the previous government did after the global financial crisis.“Our focus will be on the right now and the bread-and-butter issues people care about.”

And who caused those 'economic struggles'?

Struggles your government created

Challenging time alright, just been handed the poisonous political chalice by the weak as former prime minister, historically short career as PM of NZ coming up.

🐿

Challenging struggles caused by labor with longest lockdown outside China and Melbourne, and ridiculous climate policies.

His megalomaniac predecessor created the vast majority of the problems New Zealand faces, let’s hope this PM has a morale compass and knows the difference between right and wrong, legally & morally? Adern was nothing but a criminally intent & complicit tyrant!
