A Nottingham contestant was praised as she took on the Chaser

on Friday's episode of The Chase. Viewers of the ITV show were rooting for Mel as she took the stage with her guide dog, Elsa.

As Mel took on the stage with her dog, she said she works for Guide Dog charity as a health dog adviser. She has revealed that she has sight loss. Mel answered: "Well if I win the money, I would love to go to the Arctic Circle and experience it with my husband." She went on and said: "I would love to experience it."

She gave the correct answer to the first question, which was 'Snow Patrol singer Gary Lightbody made a cameo appearance singing The Bear and the Maiden Fair in what TV series?'. Mel said the song was featured in Game of Thrones, however she was not confident with her answer: "I do not really know. But it sounds like a Game of Thrones sort of song."
