– Harlandale ISD emailed parents and teachers a survey this week, asking families if they would consider a three-day weekend for teachers and extending the school days by a few minutes.
But after five years of teaching, Santos has learned it can be hard to balance work and home life with her schedule.Santos said she supports the possibility of changing the school calendar to four-day weeks.asking them if they’d support the three-day weekend for teachers to give them time to de-stress and reset.that found teachers said mental stress was forcing them to leave their profession.
People have become lazy expecting special treatment so what why did you say take the job in the first place
CCISD take into consideration?
This would require businesses and companies to follow along as well
Give the whole country 3 day weekends We always work Saturday anyway
This will go for every other job too right Didn't think so
No they need one day weekends and teach them kids six days a week
Why not just have everyone home schooled? No stress, no school taxes, no school buses, no bus drives, less traffic, less CO2, no administration. Problem solved!
The Power of Pain and Suffering and Change. Mental Health is Health and burnout is real. Teachers are not paid enough, dealing with Anxiety, w/ no time to raise a family or walk w/ nature. Changing to 4 Day work week is progress, hope the parents & teachers support change.
