No COVID19 cases among Chinese arrivals since borders reopened, says Health Minister Zaliha_DrZ

She said that based on the ministry’s reports, there have been a total of 28,705 arrivals from China between Jan 8 and 17. Only one arrival was found to have fever but tested negative for Covid-19. Zaliha said there were no Covid-19 infections detected among the arrivals from China so far.

“The ministry will always ensure appropriate preventive and control measures are implemented.” Zaliha said daily Covid-19 cases in Malaysia have remained in the three digits since Dec 17.She said vaccination rates have also increased over the past two weeks, with 16,292,524 primary booster doses administered. She advised those who have yet to receive a primary vaccine dose to immediately register for one in view of the Chinese New Year festivities.
