Pressed on whether a 10% pay increase for nurses was reasonable, the health secretary said: 'Well 10% is not affordable, it would be an extra £3.6bn a year...'

We’ve had months of government ministers saying they are open to talks with the unions to try to bring an end to public sector strikes. As GMB national secretary Rachel Harrison announced six further strikes dates for ambulance workers, her message was clear: “talk pay now”.

This is the crux of the impasse that is crippling the already beleaguered health service - the government won’t negotiate on pay.Despite nurses almost halving their pay demand from 19 to 10%, Rishi Sunak’s response was that the public finances are his priority - and any offers must be “affordable”.Earlier this month, Sky News reported that theto end its ongoing dispute with the government.

The union had initially demanded an increase of up to 19% to cover soaring inflation and falls in real term wages over the past decade.Mr Barclay's latest comments suggest the government is not prepared to accept the 10% figure.

Lemmings in a political battle.

This is who Brits should support. Not their dishonest monarchy.

What do we want? FAIR PAY! Why haven't we got it? Because the thicko left of Lab gifted the Tories a massive majority to do wtf they like, including loads of utter cuntery. NHSStrikes TorySewageParty ToryTaxEvasion

Print more money then like yas did to pay for the plandemic...🤔

Michelle Mone could finance this with all the money she scammed from the uk TaxPayers . NHSCrisis nhsheroes NHSPay

All the furlough that was illigally claimed too!

And then probably the same again next year...

How much did they give Dido Harding, Michelle Mone & Hancock’s landlord mate?!

Tories want state run work houses brought back. And braverman leading nazis to enforce it.

We could all have a pay rise if this self imposed government stopped giving our money away!

Maybe they should've done that windfall tax after all.

The tories just want to shut the NHS down, thats their agenda. Then they blame it on the workers. How many people can actually afford private health care. The minimum payments cover next to nothing. And what about people who can't even afford that?

Stop 3rd and 4th generation unemployed. That will leave more than enough for people who are prepared to earn a decent living.

He really is a heartless tnuc!!!

Mind the NIH-Funding Gap: Structural Discrimination in Physical Health–Related Research for Cognitively Able Autistic Adults - Journal of Autism and Developmental DisordersAutistic adults experience disparities in physical health and health care access. A major barrier to addressing these disparities is a lack of federal funding for research on this topic. In seeking funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), we discovered nodes that contribute to structural discrimination in physical health–related research for autistic adults. To examine this structural discrimination, we systematically searched funded research on all physical health–disparity conditions in autistic adults using NIH RePORTER. Among 61 unique studies, none focused on improving the relevant physical health condition through intervention, programs, or services for autistic adults. Thus, we need updated policies and procedures that support research on physical health disparities in populations with developmental or mental health conditions.
