A woman is speaking out after a routine manicure resulted in her developing an infection that turned into a form of cancer.

Grace Garcia went in for what she thought would be a "harmless" manicure, but it turned into months of pain and eventually a cancer diagnosis.

"It felt as if I couldn't bump my finger into anything," the mom of three said. "I couldn't use it. I couldn't type well. It felt tender to the touch." HPV, or human papillomavirus, is a common virus, one that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say "nearly everyone" will get "at some point in their lives." The CDC estimates over 42 million Americans currently live with some form of HPV infection and approximately 13 million will get infected with HPV each year.

What do people expect? Let's use Chicago for an example 'the city disperses license for these nail salons that are popping up on every corner'. I believe it's the department of health that requires some type of license like the food industry has. Sounds like the ball was dropped.

Going to be nearly impossible to prove. HPV is just about ubiquitous. Every person alive is probably right now harboring several different strains of it. Most are harmless. In fact if you have a wart you might even have antibodies that provide cross immunity to more dangerous Maybe cut your own damn nails from now on I would never go to these salons gross people with all kinds of diseases especially waxing 🤑bikini waxing dipping stick back in wax
