The High Court rules the waiting times faced by four transgender people for treatment were lawful.

A group of transgender people have lost their legal case against NHS England over waiting times to get seen by a gender specialist.

They said the waiting times were discriminatory, arguing the delays faced by trans people were longer than for other types of NHS treatment.Mr Justice Chamberlain said it was "important to acknowledge the serious effects of long waiting times on the first two claimants" - meaning the two children who were awaiting treatment ahead of puberty.

Among the claimants in the case was a girl who was born as a boy but has been living as a girl for more than two years. As of August 2022, there were more than 26,200 adults waiting for a first appointment at a gender dysphoria clinic, 90% of whom had been waiting more than 18 weeks, the court judgement said.

Good. Sorry but over 3 years waiting for a child to get appointments for autism and adhd to get help they need and people are complaining about having to wait for elective treatments. People have serious medical needs that need addressed before elective procedures.

Better to say people only. No need to mention transgender. Get their baseline blood result first after successful transformation. Then manage them from there.

NHS shouldn't be wasting time with things like this

Were they real trans people or gender game players.

‘’As her body develops into a man's body, she is becoming increasingly distressed and sad’’ …No, HIS body is further developing as normal, they haven’t had the change so you can’t refer to his body physically as a girls. Completely contradictory. Utter lunacy

just speed it up for them please, the quicker the better!

The two trans adults and two trans children had tried to get the wait times - let that sink in…..

To think the NHS had to waste money on defending their actions, money lost to someone who needs life-saving procedures. Or any illness. This is not an illness, it's vanity.

The NHS wasn't created for people confused about their sexuality.

Those again. The Begum Broadcasting Corporations disciples

The NHS isn't here to suit a vanity request.

The NHS might just have other issues to deal with at the best of times never mind the present. All elective procedures have lengthy waiting times.

What is this world coming to. KIDS wanting to transition and parents agreeing to it wtf.

The waiting times are barbaric already.. it’s only going to make more peoples lives miserable.. sad day ..

How many of theses transgender people were brought up in a single parent family.🧐 There's a link, children need a balanced up bringing.

good

They will be opening more centres, just be patient, but way to demonstrate how you live in a fantasy land where you think you can click your fingers and have everyone jump to attention and get what you want then and there. Feel free to go private.

Get in the queue with the rest of society, as the saying goes the sun shines on the righteous and the wicked, there are no favourites.

The father who is worried his son will have mental illness issues if they are not given puberty blockers is the most perverse sentence I have read in a long time - they already have a mental illness believing they are a girl when puberty is showing they are not.

Every father's worst fear in 2023. Their son becoming a man.
