Ridiculous money. UK consultants earn half of that. We treat doctors with far too much reverence in this country and allow the IMO to maintain a supply shortage. That's why leaving cert points are 625. Create more doctor places in universities.

Consultants don't need more money, nurses do. They're they ones running around heroically holding the shambolic health service together, while 70% of their wages are required to pay average rent in Dublin!
