MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health recorded an additional 307 infections of COVID-19 on Thursday, with active cases slightly rising to 12,006 from the recent 11,975.

, these new infections put the country’s COVID-19 caseload to 4,069,147 nationwide, with 3,991,615 recoveries and 65,526 deaths.These new infections are also lower than the average infections recorded last week, Jan.2 to 8, which was at 447, as well as the 481 recorded on Wednesday.in the past two weeks with 1,819 cases, followed by Calabarzon at second with 903 infections, and Central Luzon with 449.
