‘Knowledge Changes Everything' will focus on living well with dementia, risk factors and connecting with community on Jan. 31 in Halifax. CONTRIBUTEDJanuary is Alzheimer's Awareness Month, and this year the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia is promoting brain health and risk reduction. We’re sharing some actions that you can take to improve your brain health at any age or stage of your life.
“Some of these actions may be more difficult to take than others, but even committing to one or two can help to reduce your risk of dementia,” says Sacha Nadeau, director of programs and services at the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia. “Making these changes is only possible with the right supports in place. Nova Scotians can contact the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia to access our services or be connected to community supports that may help.
We have a free, public event coming up on January 31. Our panel event, 'Knowledge Changes Everything' will focus on living well with dementia, risk factors and connecting with community.
