Twitter is weighing whether to auction off inactive Twitter handles to raise more money, report says

Twitter executives are reportedly looking for creative ways to raise funds for the embattled company.

The social media platform is weighing the possibility of auctioning off Twitter handles from dormant accounts,Conversations about these online username auctions have been held since last month, according to the paper. Twitter CEO Elon Musk said last month that1.5 billion inactive accounts from the site, freeing up"name space," though he did not mention plans to sell the usernames at the time.
