The World Health Organization says it needs China to share more data on its explosive COVID-19 outbreak, as it praises the United States for 'radical transparency'.

abc.net.au/news/world-health-organization-seeks-china-covid-19-data/101847256The World Health Organization has reiterated the need for China to share more data on its explosive COVID-19 outbreak, while praising the United States for "radical transparency" in its efforts to battle a new sub-variant.

"WHO still believes that deaths are heavily under-reported from China," its emergencies director, Michael Ryan, said.and also pointed to "the need for doctors in the public health system to be encouraged to report these cases, and not discouraged". "There's been radical transparency on behalf of the United States, in terms of engaging with the WHO regarding the data and the impact of that data," Dr Ryan said.

The subvariant — detected in 38 countries — clearly has a "growth advantage" over other forms of the virus, she told reporters.

The increase in deaths is being kept quiet in Australia too. It was obviously all planned.

Oh finally the ABC wake up to the Chinese. How about you tell Albanese

Of course they under-report, they are trying to save face, must keep up the pretence of being the richest, biggest, smartest race on the planet.

But the deaths might not be under reported. If the person had cancer and covid how do we know it was the cancer that didnt kill them. Just because they had covid at the time of death does not mean covid was the killer.

With Covid not from covid. The West greatly exaggerated the numbers

Report on China's figures, could be inaccurate. Don't report on Australia's known accurate excess death numbers of 16%. Nice work

Are the Wet Markets still open? 🦇?

China always lies, it’s in their nature.

Utterly perceived, slandering and prejudicial, geopolitically motivated out of deeply rooted sinophobia.

lol remember this from 2020? BelieveChina

I would suggest under reporting is a world wide issue.

They only count respiratory deaths ABC... Probably the only thing that I agree with them.

BS!!
