Should B.C. allow cannabis lounges and cafes? Survey gets mixed reviews

Spaces dedicated to puff, puff, passing are – to no surprise – supported by those who use cannabis in B.C., while those who don’t have mixed reviews on cannabis lounges and cafes or special events.

This difference is even more stark when looking at online survey respondents . While 34 per cent supported such spaces, nearly all cannabis supporters who answered online supported them, with 91 per cent of non-cannabis users opposed when answering online. The report points out that 750,000 British Columbians would be interested at visiting these kinds of spaces – while an estimated 1.4 million British Columbians consumed cannabis consumed at least once last year, according to 2021 survey.
