An urgent health warning has rung out Australia-wide with common antibiotics in short supply.9News

Families are being forced to search pharmacists for absent prescriptions, with pharmacists often forced to compound medicines to fill a crucial order.The Australian Medical Association says it should be a reminder that domestically produced medications are preferred.The Therapeutic Goods Association last month issued a notice to say it would permit substitutions for oral amoxicillin prescriptions, "a widely used antibiotic used to treat many different bacterial infections".

She said it was a sign Australia needed to develop local medicine manufacturing, rather than rely on international supply.

Even now it might not be too late to put out requests to large pharmacies to set up base in Australia with attractive incentives if they do so.

I have a badly infected finger. I could only get 5 antibiotics yesterday and had to hope that the chemist could get more today, which they did. Bit of a worry.

People are not receiving proper medical examination, by GP only over the phone consult missing al the important assessment. Thats why Abx are in short supply, over prescribed.

If only we could produce this in our country and not China oh wait you’d lose profit how stupid of me

Maybe it was because Big Pharma was caught lacing these drugs with Nanotech just like the mRNA vaccines
