Coconut oil enthusiasts say it is the next great health food. But it contains high levels of saturated fat, which is associated with an increased risk of heart disease.

Supposed to be good for the skin and some ailments. Some people think the oil pulls out toxins when you swish it around in your mouth (how is that possible?!?). I just saw somewhere said it enhances energy and increases metabolism. Ha. Biggest thing is it cooks at higher temp.

deeperbeats Whole Food Plant Based people like richroll jjcromag and many others have been warning about this all during the fad. It’s a good source of MCT however use it sparingly.

I only use for hair and skin.

I only use it on my beard.

Maybe as citizens of the earth we could ask ourselves how our consumption of coconut oil is impacting the environment.

It’s the MCT oil which is derived from the coconut that is healthy. Active coconut oil has this. Reg coconut oil is made from dried coconut. If u decide to try it, take one tablespoon a day and build up the 2 tablespoons.

Doesn’t it also have a really high environmental impact?

So we’re back to saturated fats are bad I just cannot keep up with this stuff.

Only in combination of carbohydrates does your body process saturated fats in a harmful way.
