jaketapper Let us know how bad. I grew up in Va, read Misty as a child and to my 3rd graders as an adult. I tear up when I think about Phantom being let loose to go home. Please keep us updated.

big_catsf Aka toxins Probly purposely dumped in their water, 2 make the horses sick&💀.Cuz that IS how the 1% Roll... 😥🆘🐴🙏

Its not mysterious. We know exactly what it is (Pythium insidiosum). Global warming has resulted in this organism being present in standing water much further north than previously has been reported. Its a terrible disease that is hard to treat and often fatal

Famous herd of wild ponies is being stalked by deadly diseaseOver a few months, seven of the famous wild Chincoteague ponies, which have grazed on a Virginia barrier island for centuries, had to be euthanized because of a fungus-like disease. There is concern there might be a re-emergence of the infection next summer. How people can take a story about American icons and make it political is beyond my imagination. For shame. Plot twist: the deadly disease are the humans.
