Pharmacies say there are supply chain issues with some products but people should not panic buy.

Pharmacies says a lack of government planning is behind a shortage of cough and cold medicines in shops.

But Leyla Hannbeck, chief executive of the AIMP, said there were wider logistical challenges and high demand for medicines to treat cold and flu symptoms this winter has meant the supply chain has not been able to keep up with demand. "As pharmacists, we do everything we can to ensure we support patients in every way possible and try and sort alternatives, or give advice on how to manage cold and flu symptoms," she said.Health Secretaryon services and the NHS was facing huge challenges. He said the government was providing extra funding to help.

Stop all your bullshit propaganda bollocks youf a pisstake British brainwashed corruption

Σε κάποιο παράλληλο σύμπαν κατηγορεί η ΕΡΤ την κυβέρνηση Μητσοτάκη για τις ελλείψεις φαρμάκων...

Yes, the government really need to ensure Tescos order enough stock. Slackers...

We’re not panicking as the media will do that for us !!!

HM Govt in charge of pharmaceutical production and the distribution of mega corporations? Don't think so. Stocking shelves with products. Don't think so.

Always pushing an anti government agenda, give it a rest

Lemsip is just gross tasting squash with paracetamol in it!

So much for the invisible hand of the market, eh, thanks for nothing, Adam Smith

Ridiculous 🤦 DefundTheBBC

As cold remedies don't actually work what is the problem ?

Would this not have been the ideal article to say “you can’t get Lemsip? … try using honey, lemon, hot water and paracetamol. It works just as well and is a fraction of the price”. Educate don’t just panic people

I did wonder why we couldn't get any. We settled for ginger tea and had some paracetamol instead.

Anything not the government’s fault? Maybe learn to live your lives without the government having to wipe your backside for you.

In Tesco the top two shelves are usually full of paracetamol, the second shelf totally empty and the top less than a quarter left… Now I expect the panic buying to take place…

Any jobs going in the governmental lemsip usage forecasting unit?

I'm not seeing how this is a Gvmt problem, don't the pharmacies just put orders in to various manufacturers to stock their shops up with like they do with any other pharmacy products?

Today my wife and son spent the morning trying to get antibiotics that the GP prescribed, no pharmacy in the area had them. Waited all afternoon for a GP call back, got alternative prescription, went to Lloyds to find no Lloyds have that one either… Thankfully Tesco did!

Eh?

Scotch ‘n’ Threat & you’ll be fine.

They are useless though

It was panic bought before Xmas. Haven't been able to get any for weeks and now it's news and surprise surprise it's the governments fault too!

Surely cold and flu remedies are available to everyone Lemon Paracetamol Hot Water

No cure for the common cold 🥱

Just have a spoon of honey and lemon in a cup of hot water each day and feel fine no need for lemsip etc

Alternatively, buy paracetamol, ibuprofen and a couple of lemons for half the price and get better without being ripped off.

Nothing to do with piss poor planning by Glaxo and the rest then.

People need to go back to natural medicines.

Bloody government, pfft can't get anything right

I don’t believe it… this government not planning for the future ! 😂😂😂

Really? 🤦🏻‍♂️
