I went for mine and they measured my height, weight and blood pressure. A joke!

that's coz many know GP us looking to hand out statins et al where they'll be shelling out £9 a month for 20 yrs 😉...okay it can pick up blood pressure, T2 as well but for many these issues & preventative means can be sorted with easy lifestyle change ...

It's a tick box exercise. My GP couldn't get me out the door quick enough!

Ineligible as I have a pre existing medical condition- asthma- so that's monitored, but nothing else. How many other people are also ineligible?

If you’re over 40 I highly advise you take it. I had mine at 40 and diagnosed with T2 diabetes. Didn’t know I had it. Now managing it and sorting myself out. Do it

Less than half of over-40s take free dementia health check'Midlife is a crucial time to take action that will help maintain a healthy brain' Information exchanged with insurance companies-maybe future employers/mortgage companies etc That's the trade-off for a 'Free' Health Check I've never heard of this test despite having a mother with dementia. Neither has any one else I know. Perhaps this is the reason for the low uptake?
