FDA: Abortion pills can now be sold at retail pharmacies

There is a major new regulatory change this morning that could help make abortions more accessible in the United States.

The drug "Mifepristone" is the first of two drugs administered in a medical abortion.Women will still need a prescription, but the number of pharmacies that can offer the drug will be more widely available.

LI If only retail pharmacies could sell something over the counter that would prevent you from getting pregnant in the first place. Ugh!

NJ They already allow contraception devices to be sold.

LI Better than waiting months & having a doctor dismember & remove a fetus. This should be the only approved way to get the deed done without there being a serious medical emergency. We need contraceptives to be readily available & easy to get so that people don’t have to go there
