ABSOLUTELY! They should oversee funding and request annual reports directly from hospitals and cross reference what was submitted by hospitals and provincial government. This will minimize hospital and government spending on unnecessary health expenditures!
The elephant in the room is that one size doesn’t fit all. Ontario and Prince Edward Island are different: it’s okay for them to have different health systems. The federal government shouldn’t be standing in the way of more private alternatives.
