Ending violence against people with disability requires a detailed plan on how we make housing, education, health and transport equal for us

A disability royal commission hearing. This week is the commission’s final public hearing for the year and submissions close forever on 30 December.A disability royal commission hearing. This week is the commission’s final public hearing for the year and submissions close forever on 30 December. For decades Australian royal commissions have uncovered deeply buried truths and brought about hard-fought systemic change.

We’re at the very end of this long journey, and yet when I speak to anyone outside the disability sector most don’t even know the DRC is still running. Because it's a money pit that has been abused by the people it was meant to support as is most things paid for by the tax payer. Just a pity people who are legit get hurt. People are working with their Drs and Phy'cs to work out how to get more and rip off the system.Shut it down

So the MSM cover up of the last LNP govt continues. Why doesn't the Guardian do something about it if you give a shit about journalism? Or are journalists the Guardian's problem too?

We have an appalling unaccountable school system that can get away with abusing children of all needs and abilities. Why won't the media expose this?

Sonny_NC And the same with Morrison and the LNP

Shameful! Reprehensible! When certain media start to concern themselves with such issues, I'll consider donating & supporting them. Will see how long the accountability deficit lasts.

Did the Disability Royal Commission look into guardians who take the control of the disabled persons bank account and spend their pension on their own expenses?

Yes Australian media are a disgrace the way they cover up stuff for governments. Such corrupt liars. I mean look how they lied to everyone that a jab would stop the spread and never explained how around 95% of people recovered fine before jabs. All about 💰💰💰

EDesmarchelier you are so right. The Disability Royal Commission drc should have called airports, airlines, security screening companies, retail outlets, post offices, national tourist venues, federal parliament to account for not recognising, supporting and including people
