The federal health minister is optimistic about the future of Canada’s health-care system.

year of transformation,” Jean-Yves Duclos declares, in a year-end interview with the Star. His outlook might sound overly optimistic, but that might be something of a necessity.

But with the general picture of Canada’s health-care situation still suggesting it’s at a breaking point, how can the person tasked with overseeing the country’s way forward possess hope for the year ahead? The minister said behind closed doors, everyone is in agreement about what needs to change to repair the system. He acknowledged that provinces have “made very good progress” on a number of issues, like working to recognize the credentials of internationally educated health-care workers.

He also hopes discussions reach “a point at which the premiers will allow us to speak publicly about these results.”

Re-elections 😉

Because he is not very bright ! He is there only because he is a member of the liberal party, and not because of his medical background. What is scary me the most is that an “nobody”like this is in charge with the health of 38.5 millions of Canadiens. Indeed Canada is broken!

Because he’s a liberal. He just needs to tell outlets like yours that it’s better…you publish it and the simpletons that continue to vote liberal will believe it. It’s a pretty reliable formula for them.

Life will be good after the budget will balance itself...

Throwing more money at corrupt conservative governments who will put it into general revenue, is NOT THE ANSWER. Medical staff are fleeing the profession. We want accountability from UCPCaucus fordnation Alberta has a 12 billion surplus. Stop your whining. IStandWithTrudeau

Failure over failure

Nothing is broken in Canada. This headline is racist misinformation. Our healthcare like our prime minister is world class.

prutter_pat Suspect the government promoting denialism will make things worse.

Absolutely criminal that the federal government refuses to negotiate on funding while mandating that provinces cannot charge themselves through federal legislation.

Long ER wait times, inordinate delays to see specialists or have surgeries, and unmeasurable adverse outcomes for patients as a result. Politics must make way for patients next year or it will be the same again or worse.

Because this stud is in charge!
