The Albanese government has proposed a 15 per cent pay rise for aged care workers over 18 months.

In a submission to the Fair Work Commission, the Commonwealth says it would fund a 10 per cent increase in July 2023 and a further five per cent in July 2024.

The Health Services Union criticised the delay and has demanded that the government to explain itself.
