Nineteen children have died from Strep A since September, new figures from the UK Health Security Agency show. ewither reports.

The agency confirmed a sharp increase in the number of infections for this time of year and today the government introduced a new measure to allow pharmacists to dispense alternative forms of penicillin – there’s a shortage of it because of increased demand caused by the Strep A outbreak.
