Vice Mayor Rebecca Kaplan and some community members want to restore the requirement to wear a facial covering inside city facilities, which would provide equitable access to all and protect the public's health, Kaplan's office said Tuesday.
"I am on immunosuppressive treatments and my doctors have told me that my entire family needs to avoid indoor spaces when masks are not required because the health risks are too high," said Beth Kenny, member of the advocacy group Senior and Disability Action. "People should not have to go against medical advice to access their city government or get a book out of the library."
Schaaf last month revoked the requirement by executive order. Kaplan's resolution would ask city officials to provide KN-95, N-95 or KF-94 masks to people who want to enter public facilities.
They need muzzles, not masks...
In my opinion, this is political virtue signaling. It is not the role of politicians to make this call. How do you enforce a mandate? Are they going to check masks to be sure they are KN or N95s? Oh and BTW, here's the data.
People drive like sh— out there. Is it “equitable” for me to ask they don’t drive because they put me at risk 🤦🏻♂️
It's already been proven that masks aren't effective..so why
The three week lockdown was suppose to flatten the curve, the masks were suppose to stop the spread, the vaccine was going to wipe out the virus, yet Covid is still here. Kinda makes you think…do the people in charge have any clue what they are doing?
Try going into a hospital without one…
Then THEY are welcomed to wear them.. NO MORE MANDATES!
