NPR asked a handful of public health experts how to approach a holiday season with not one but three respiratory pathogens helping fill hospitals: COVID, the flu and RSV.

That makes staying home when sick"one of the most profoundly important things we can do this holiday season to keep other people safe," said Dr. Monica Gandhi, an infectious disease specialist at the University of California San Francisco."That means not going to that holiday party when you're coughing and sneezing."

"If you are diagnosed early, we have antivirals that can be used to shorten your disease course and your disease severity," Walensky said."I consider ventilation one of the strongest things we can do to protect ourselves during respiratory pathogen season," said Gandhi. Not everything can realistically be moved outdoors. Many social gatherings and religious services will be indoors. For family members traveling long distances to see each other, spending a lot of time indoors together is inescapable.

'And much like COVID vaccines, flu shots don't prevent all infections, but they can help prevent hospitalizations, deaths, as well as transmission,' Still lying, I see.

If you're sick, stay home until you're not. Basic shit we all knew before the coof was released. Also, masks don't do anything to protect you...

Sigh. This is all very 'you do you'. Protecting vulnerable people who you don't happen to know? Not so much. And this line...really? 'Studies are mixed on the effectiveness of masks on a large scale.' 🙄

I’ve had 2/3 of them & being sick has prevented me from getting vaxed for 3rd (flu). I’m a reasonably healthy adult & this fall has been 2 mths of being sick. I blame myself, inconsistent & complacent re: mask wearing & had delayed CoVID booster while waiting for bivalent version

'Experts say' The experts:

Also consider limiting contact if you attended the World Cup, there was an outbreak of several viruses including MERS, EBOLA , ZIKA, and COVID-19.

npr still pushing the clot-shot even after knowing it doesn't work and kills people. is American Pravda.

Don't care about masks...we will not COMPILE😡

Fear! Panic! Worry!

Anyone wearing a mask in 2022 should be ridiculed relentlessly.
