New findings show how crucial it is to account for climate change when it comes to heart health.

finds that exposure to extremely hot or cold temperatures increases a heart disease patient’s risk of death.

They found that for every 1,000 cardiovascular deaths on extreme hot days accounted for 2.2 additional deaths and extreme cold days accounted for 9.1 additional deaths. “While we do not know the reason why temperature effects were more pronounced with heart failure patients it could be due to the progressive nature of heart failure as a disease,”. “One out of four people with heart failure are readmitted to the hospital within 30 days of discharge, and only 20 percent of patients with heart failure survive 10 years after diagnosis.”

Yeah and heart attacks happen during solar events. Maybe we should start recognizing our electrical foundation.

News flash. It's not the weather..... only one thing has changed in the last two years that has resulted in so many blood problems and heart issues.....

What happened to Popular Science I read as a child? Good bye.

Ah yes. Warm and cold weather have been giving children heart attacks for years… Only two years, but it’s definitely the weather; not anything else that’s happened in the last couple years.

Well popular science, I thought you were smarter than that. We know what's causing heart attacks and deaths, you're not even close- and you should be ashamed.

It is a disease.
