JOHOR BARU: The public has been warned to ignore messages requesting money that claim to be from state health director Datuk Dr Aman Rabu.

According to a post on the state health department Facebook page, the messages are coming from scammers pretending to be the director.

“Any messages through WhatsApp or Telegram from state health director Datuk Dr Aman Rabu requesting money are fake and do not come from him. “They are from scammers pretending to be him. Those receiving the messages are urged to ignore the messages and not fall into the scammer’s tricks,” it said in a statement here.

Earlier, Dr Aman also warned his contacts, including reporters about the messages and filed a police report at the Larkin police station on Saturday . “To those who know me, please ignore any requests coming from my Telegram account, as it was believed to have been hacked,” he said.
