CLEVELAND, Ohio – While her 10-year-old son finished up another round of cancer treatment, Antoinetta Palladino planned to leave early and make sure the house was comfortable for his recovery.

Mike Morris, Palladino’s longtime boyfriend and the child’s father, said the family panicked when the car was missing. Morris said he was happy the car was not totaled but concerned for some sentimental belongings that were stolen.
